Recording produces real HTML, not a video file — so a wrong label, a leaked email, or a whole take is fixable after the fact. Undo included.

Every visual on this page is a live demo. Click one.

A build over 42,000 bytes fails CI, so the budget holds on every release. Typical demo-platform share pages ship 4.6–8.1 MB of uncompressed JavaScript — which is why their landing pages show video loops of demos instead of the demos.

01Capture fast

One pass through your app. Nothing lost along the way.

  • Real HTML, not video — pixel-accurate captured pages, not compressed frames. Every step is a DOM snapshot whose text is still text.
  • Undo the last step while you are still recording, without restarting the take. Nobody else in the category ships this.
  • Steps buffer locally and survive a browser restart; a failed upload retries, and a step that won’t snapshot falls back to a screenshot rather than failing the take.
  • Typed values are masked at record time by default, and you can re-snapshot a single step into an existing demo instead of re-recording it.

We capture the product you actually shipped, as HTML — we don’t clone it into a scripted sandbox environment. What a viewer clicks is what your app rendered on the day you recorded it.

02Edit honestly

Record by clicking. Fix it without re-recording.

  • Inline, node-precise text editing on the captured page. Fix a typo without opening a raw-HTML modal, and without another take.
  • Swap a name across every step at once — find and replace with per-match accept, a before→after diff and the surrounding context.
  • Sensitive regions are auto-detected and reviewed before anything is applied, and a guard refuses an over-broad fill instead of silently blanking the page.
  • Multi-level undo and redo across the whole editor, batched sensibly, with an undo toast. Immutable version history and restore, on every plan.
  • Describe a change in plain English and DemoMate rewrites the captured HTML — the model never authors the HTML itself, it proposes server-built operations you accept row by row.

Inline-edit a wrong label → Scan for sensitive regions → review, then apply an opaque fill → ⌘Z restores it → find & replace the same string across every step.

Trust · our moat

Redacted means gone

In most demo tools, a blur is a sticker over your data — the real value still ships to every viewer. DemoMate's opaque fill removes the covered text from the published page entirely. And when something is only blurred, the editor says so — softened pixels, honestly labeled.

03Personalize

One demo. Every prospect.

  • Company, name, role — define a variable once, with a fallback, and it resolves everywhere it appears.
  • Select any run of captured text and turn it into a token in place. Unregistered tokens are caught before you ship a blank.
  • A viewer types their name into a form mid-demo; the rest of the tour greets them back.
  • Thousands of personalized demos from a single recording — minted one at a time or in bulk from a pasted spreadsheet, and the values are computed in the viewer’s browser rather than reaching our servers.

Insert a variable from the picker → turn selected captured text into a token → generate links from a spreadsheet → two personalized links open side by side saying two different names.

04Share & own it

Publish it, gate it, embed it, export it, take it with you.

  • Per-link access — public, password, or email-required with a domain allow-list — plus expiry and a custom slug. Tracked and untracked links, both free.
  • An exported demo is one file — it loads instantly, even fully offline. Embed snippets, inline or lightbox, and self-serve custom domains by CNAME.
  • Export your demo’s source as a zip and import it back — git-diffable, self-hostable. Nothing is held hostage.
  • Need a clip instead of a link? Export the demo to video or GIF, with the real limitations stated at the control rather than after the download.

The player never runs scripts from the captured page — allow-same-origin, never allow-scripts. That is stricter than every player we inspected.

The share dialog: tracked vs untracked link → password / email gate → the embed snippet → the export menu → the single-file .html downloaded and opened offline.

The comparison

Fixing a demo shouldn’t mean recording it again.

The capabilities that decide whether a demo survives its first mistake are, almost everywhere else, the ones held for the top tier.

Scroll the table

On undo, one leading platform’s own documentation puts it plainly: “we don’t have a physical undo button.”

05Measure

See where they stopped, and who it was.

  • Per-step drop-off, dwell and an intent ladder — per demo and per share link, on every plan. Zero configuration. Cookieless by default.
  • An email form gates any step and lands the lead straight in your CRM, with consent, a work-email rule and blocked domains; aggregated into one surface with CSV export.
  • A lead drawer with the session timeline, their answers and an intent score 0–100 in bands — including an honest “not enough signal”.
  • HubSpot sync, Slack notifications, and signed webhooks for everything else — every event, HMAC-signed, with key rotation.

Scriptable

Everything above, scriptable.

Nothing on this page needs AI. Every workflow above is a person clicking, and that is the workflow we design for. It is also all addressable by an agent, if that is how you work.

  • Create, update, publish and share demos over MCP with a Write-scoped key — the same operations the editor performs, not a separate API surface.
  • Step titles and descriptions drafted from what you captured, and translations into a curated language set. Keep them or rewrite them — you approve every change.
